Fox Fridays is a workshop series put on by the Sam Fox School of Art and Design at Washington University St. Louis. I led a Papermaking with Found Material workshop on April 10th, 2026. The focus of the session was to encourage embracing spontenaeity and play using the process of papermaking. Students learned how to make paper pulp using discarded fibers, and made their own works with the pulp, adding in other found materials such as magazine, fabric, and plants. Towards the end, we gathered leftover materials to make one large collaborative sheet.
